Chris Redfield is a primary character from the Resident Evil series of games and is sometimes considered the main protagonist of the series. He has a younger sister, Claire Redfield, that also works to stop evil in humanity. Chris Redfield was very close with his sister until she went to college and he joined the military, and they became farther apart. After Chris was discharged, he decided to join the Raccoon City Police Department. After meeting an old friend, he became a member of the S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Squad) unit. After the mansion incident, though, everything was turned upside down for Chris.

History         []

Resident Evil []

After Chris joins S.T.A.R.S., murders are being committed on the outskirts of Raccoon City. Bravo Team is sent to investigate. When no word is sent on what Bravo Team is up to, Alpha Team (which Chris and Jill Valentine, Chris's partner, are a part of) is sent to investigate. The team finds no sign of Bravo Team except for a fallen copter with Bravo Team's now dead pilot, Kevin Dooley. There's no sign of survivors, and Dooley's severed hand is holding a handgun. Alpha Team investigates further only to be attacked by a group of Cerberus, which kills Alpha Team member Joseph Frost. The team flee to a nearby mansion for refuge, presumed to be abandoned, and Chris loses his handgun during the run. There are now four remaining members to Alpha Team: Chris, Jill, Barry Burton, and Albert Wesker. They decide to split up and look for clues of the murders, as well as find a way out. They find one member of Bravo Team, Kenneth J. Sullivan, had been eaten alive by a zombie. Chris and Jill find that the mansion isn't an abandoned one at all--there are many documents and computer discs suggesting that experiments went on in the mansion, and the zombies and animals were infected by the t-Virus. All of the research belongs to Umbrella Corporation. After navigating through different tunnels, passageways, and other buildings on the property, Chris and Jill bump into Wesker, who reveals that he was a double-agent working for Umbrella. Upon saying this, he releases the Tyrant T-002. The Tyrant impales Wesker with its claws and continues on to Jill and Chris, who kill it with firearms. Wesker then sets the mansion to self-destruct while Chris and Jill call for a rescue copter. They're about to leave as the copter lands when the Tyrant bursts through the roof, and is suddenly bullet-resistant. The pilot of the rescue copter, Brad Vickers, blasts it with a Rocket Launcher and the building explodes as Chris and Jill escape. After this incident, Albert Wesker becomes Chris's worst enemy, thought to be the leader of the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team when he was really a traitor, planning to dispose of the members of S.T.A.R.S.
