History []

Early Life[]

When his parents died while on a mission for S.H.I.E.L.D., Peter Parker was left to be raised by his aunt May and uncle Ben. While on a high school trip to the museum, Peter Parker gets bitten by a radioactive spider on the loose. He soon realizes after awhile that he has new abilities like web-blasting and wall-climbing. Peter designs a costume and uses the disguise to fight evil in New York. Originally living in the Forest Hills area, he usually protects the city as well, having to travel there for his job at a news paper, the Daily Bugle. He first became committed to crime-fighting when he let a burglar escape and realized that the burglar he let escape killed his uncle Ben. Peter, guilty and blaming himself for his uncle's death, commits to a life of crime-fighting and life-saving.

Spider-Man's gaming debut was an adventure game that involved text commands, being one in a series of Questprobe game, others including Human Torch, Thing, Hulk, and a cancelled X-Men, though it can be found online not fully completed. An updated version of the game was released in 1984. The storyline revolved around Spider-Man's adventure collecting gems against a mysterious character.

Spider-Man (Atari 2600) []

In 1982, Parker Brothers released Spider-Man for the Atari 2600. Spider-Man's mission is to scale buildings and avoid traps from the Green Goblin. If Spider-Man's web-line gets hit by one of the Green Goblin's traps, he will go plummeting, though he can throw another web to save his life before falling all the way down. His ultimate goal is to defuse all of the bombs on the buildings, and though there is no storyline, he's probably victorious.
