Redd is a main character of the Animal Crossing series and owns a secret shop. He thinks of Tom Nook as competition and wears a similar blue apron, just with his shop logo on it. Redd is usually thought of as cunning and sneaky, always lying to the players about his prices, telling them about how he couldn't get the prices any lower than they already are even though they are higher than they are supposed to be. Redd often labels himself as 'crazy' because of the way his prices are so low. Often the players can find out the painting they bought from him was a forgery, although the secret shop is the only source for paintings. Even though Redd has high prices, a lot of the furniture he sells may be exclusive to his store.
