Leon Belmont is the main protagonist of Castlevania: Lament of Innocence, the first Castlevania game plot-wise. He's the first of the Belmont Clan, and was the partner of Mathias Cronqvist before he became Dracula. Ever since the story of Lament of Innocence, the Belmonts have been hunting vampires since it was in their blood.
